From January 16 to 18, over 250 athletes from across Australia came together in Sydney for the 2025 Australian Pool Life Saving Championships, competing in events designed to challenge their speed, strength, and lifesaving skills. Individuals and teams competed for prestigious Championship trophies from Under 14 to Masters divisions.
Jemma Holt, competing for the Victoria State Team, won the Female Lifesaver of the Meet. Jemma was also the winner of the Women’s Under 19 Individual Overall Championship - the George Turnbull Trophy and the Women’s Under 19 Australia Cup - The Shayne Baker Trophy (U19 Female Superlifesaver).
Brayden Woodford, competing for the New South Wales State Team, won the Male Lifesaver of the Meet. Brayden was also the winner of the Men’s Under 19 Individual Overall Championship - Drager NSW Branch Trophy and the Men’s Under 19 Australia Cup - John Stacpoole Memorial Trophy (U19 Male Superlifesaver).
This year the Interstate Overall Championship was an incredibly close contest. However for the second consecutive year, Western Australia claimed the Sir Percy Joske Trophy.

The 2025 Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships were held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC), between 16 – 18 January 2025.
