National Aquatic Industry Workforce Survey 2022

Royal Life Saving and its partners are conducting new research into the state and profile of the national aquatic industry workforce

Royal Life Saving, on behalf of the National Aquatic Industry Committee (NAIC), has just launched the National Aquatic Industry Workforce Survey 2022 and would love to hear from all those that make up the aquatic industry workforce.

We plan to use the information gathered to better understand the current challenges and opportunities facing the industry and its workforce, facilitate strong advocacy, and enable development of policies and programs that meet industry needs during this critical time.

The survey is anonymous but if you choose to leave your name and email address you will be eligible to win a $100 JB Hi-Fi e-gift voucher.

The survey closes at 5pm Wednesday 30 November and the 30 lucky winners will be contacted by email by 14 December, 2022.

Background

In 2019 Royal Life Saving, on behalf of the National Aquatic Industry Committee (NAIC), conducted a National Aquatic Industry Workforce Survey. The survey was completed by over 3000 respondents and was critical in development of the National Aquatic Industry Workforce Profile and National Aquatic Industry Workforce Report, available here.

The information gathered through data and respondent comments, captured in these publications, provided important insights into the aquatic industry workforce and was critical in advocating for the industry and its workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

We seek to understand the current state and profile of the aquatic industry after the COVID-19 pandemic as well as identify opportunities to strengthen the workforce and support the sector.

The results of the survey will be kept anonymous, however the themes and data will be collated into a high quality report which determines the overall profile and key themes to address.

For any questions relating to the survey please contact Royal Life Saving's National Manager - Training and Workforce Development - Shaun Jackson at:  sjackson@rlssa.org.au
