ACCESSIBILITY
The Royal Life Saving Society – Australia website has been built to ensure its content is available to the widest possible audience, providing as far as possible, the same experience for everyone.
This website aims to conform to Level A of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2 (WCAG 2.0), developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
The website is designed to display on all commonly used Internet browsers and to work effectively with accessibility hardware and/or software. To accommodate a range of connection speeds, page sizes have been kept to a minimum. Our web pages are scalable to accommodate various common screen resolutions.
We are working towards progressive enhancement when managing the website, and will continue to test for conformance across multiple browsers and operating system configurations.
Downloadable Documents
While we attempt to provide all content as web pages (HTML), sometimes information may be provided in other formats to make it quickly available to customers. Formats may include PDF and Word and often these are preferred by their intended users.
For downloadable documents, an icon appears alongside the document link to indicate the file type.
PDFS
Viewing, downloading and printing PDF files requires Adobe Reader, available free of charge from the Adobe website.
- To save PDF files for later viewing, right click on the text link or image; select Save Target As and save the file to your computer.
- To print PDF files select File > Print from the Adobe Reader tool bar.
