The Symposium objectives are to:
- Provide a forum for Industry, Government, education, private sector and academia to collaborate, discuss and investigate the issues and solutions surrounding:
- Swimming skills – ensuring that all children have access to swimming and water safety programs and achieve National Benchmarks.
- Workforce – raising the profile of the industry as a career opportunity and ensuring the workforce is sustainable, supported and capable.
- Infrastructure – ensuring the availability and sustainability of fit-for-purpose aquatic facilities.
- Present research, policy and practice that aim to provide insights and address the issues.
- Facilitate setting a collective agenda and developing action statements.
- Engage, collaborate and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Support the AWSS 2030 priority areas and key activities.
