Purpose
To establish guidance for the placement of signs on pool concourse area in and around aquatic facility.
Hazard Signage
Pool Concourse areas are a frequent pathway for traffic in and around an aquatic environment that can cause injury adequate signage is not in place. The Pool Concourse is prone to slips, trips and falls and thus the following signage should be in place when applicable:
No Running
Running by aquatic users on the Pool Concourse should not be encouraged and adequate signage should include the following symbol:
Slippery When Wet
Areas in which there is inadequate drainage either from the pool or other wet areas should display a slippery when wet signage and may be supported with the words SLIPPERY WHEN WET OR NO RUNNING.
